This Privacy Policy explains how Carmel Valley Test Prep (CVTP) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the CVTP AI Problem Solver website.

1. Information We Collect

  • Images you upload (SAT, ACT, or other academic problems) are sent securely to OpenAI’s API for processing.
  • We do not permanently store your uploaded images, and they are not used for any purpose other than generating your explanation or hint.
  • When you redeem a promo code for credits, we collect the name and email address you enter. This is used to manage your credit balance and to let us know which codes have been redeemed.
  • If you choose to submit feedback, any comment, name, or email you provide is sent to us by email.
  • Basic analytics (e.g., number of requests, error rates) may be collected to improve performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

Uploaded content is used only to generate AI explanations or hints for educational purposes. The name and email you provide when redeeming a promo code are used solely to track and manage your credit balance. No information is sold or shared with third parties.

3. Credits & Promo Codes

When you redeem a promo code, the name and email you enter are stored to associate your credit balance with you and to record that the code was used. You may request that we delete this information at any time by contacting us at the email below.

4. Data Security

All requests are encrypted via HTTPS. The limited personal information we store (the name and email associated with redeemed credits) is kept only as needed to manage your credits and is not sold or shared with third parties.

5. Children’s Privacy

This service is intended for students aged 13 and older. Younger students should use it under parental supervision, and a parent or guardian should provide any name or email used for credit redemption.

6. Third-Party Services

Our app uses OpenAI to analyze uploaded problems. Their privacy policy applies to API processing.
